IIRRT Department of the Year
This year's Medray/IIRRT awards were a huge success for St Luke's Radiation Oncology Network (SLRON). For the second year running, St James's Centre was shortlisted and this year we were successful.
The format this year changed with 70% points earned from a site visit and patients comments and 30% of a public vote.
The network also were responsible for two of the three nominations for ‘RT of the Year’. Dean Harper, from St James was the winner in this category and Elaine McCrickard in SLH was the other nominee. Great achievement for both RTs to make the shortlist as I believe there were over 30 nominations across the country.
The win for the network has been a big boost to morale and recognition for the great work that is happening in Dublin I believe.
