Biography
Aisling Glynn is a Radiation Oncologist within the St Lukes’s Radiation Oncology Network based in the Beaumont and Rathgar sites.
She completed her MBBCh (Hons) in Medicine in 2013 graduating from Cardiff University in Wales. She completed basic specialist training in general medicine and attained her Membership of the Royal College of Physicians of Ireland (MRCPI) qualification in 2016. She then completed a 5-year Radiation Oncology Specialist Registrar training program in Ireland and attained her fellowship (FFR RCSI) with the Faculty of Radiologists and Radiation Oncologists, Royal College of Surgeons in Ireland in 2021.During her time as a trainee she was the recipient of several research awards and developed a strong passion for gastrointestinal and head and neck oncology.
In 2022, she completed an observership in MR Linac at the prestigious Princess Margaret Cancer Centre (PMCC) in Toronto. After a brief tenure as a Locum Consultant Radiation Oncologist at SLRON, she returned to PMCC in 2024 to undertake a prestigious research and clinical fellowship in gastrointestinal oncology, with a focus on liver and abdominal Stereotactic Body Radiotherapy (SBRT), collaborating with world-leading experts. Following completion of her fellowship, she returned to Ireland in 2025 to take up her current post as a Locum Consultant Radiation Oncologist.
Her specialist areas of interest include abdominal stereotactic radiotherapy and head and neck cancer. She completed a diploma in leadership and management with distinction in 2022. She has numerous scientific publications and has presented her research at several international meetings including ESTRO and ASTRO. With an empathetic, patient-centered approach, her ultimate goal is to enhance the quality of life for patients living with cancer.
